W Ketchup Condemns Senator Kerry's Remarks

Eagle Bridge, NY — November 1, 2006 — W Ketchup condemns the remarks made by Senator Kerry on Monday disparaging our heroes in the military. The failed presidential candidate stated: “You know education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. And if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq.”

The National Commander of The American Legion called on Kerry to apologize for demeaning our troops, but Kerry responded: “I apologize to no one for my criticism of the president and of his broken policy” and claimed the statement was a “botched joke” about Bush. Kerry also claimed the controversy was the fault of Republicans, whom he called “assorted right-wing nut jobs.”

W Ketchup CEO Dan Oliver stated: “Throughout the 2004 election Senator Kerry claimed he was a war hero and a patriot notwithstanding his condemnation of our troops in Vietnam. Now he displays his elitist arrogance by insulting our brave soldiers, in his unwillingness to apologize, and through his vindictive instinct to place the blame on someone else. It gives us pause that this man was nearly commander-in-chief and sheds light on the true sentiments of the Democratic Party.”

In 1971 Kerry claimed in front of Congress that his military colleagues had “personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam.” Senator Kerry has never apologized for demeaning the sacrifices and attacking the character of our brave men and women in uniform.

Senator Kerry is married to Teresa Heinz who helped fund his doomed presidential ambitions. Mrs. Heinz Kerry is chairman of the Heinz Family Philanthropies and the Howard Heinz Endowment.

W Ketchup is made for Americans, and is sold only in America. The only organization to which W Ketchup donates money is the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships for the children of service members killed in the line of duty. W Ketchup is proud to support our troops.
